these are my contributions:

classic (slightly different cone configuration)

balcony inspired (maybe have the circle to the right of the painted section, instead of around it, idk. it might not be as big then tho)

i'd be down to try out the second one at the first practice event

if you add in kbars in certain places it will make it even more awesome
(not filled with water so you dont destroy the car if you hit them)

Setup like a course we did for the final event last year but with a little added pumptitude.

Personally this looks like a bad ass setup. Haul ass at the first bank and clutch kick in about third or so. hold drift around and commence the 50mph or so kick back to hit the clipping point of main turn. Awesome.

Oh and the final turn of the really fast course the cone would be set as close to the grass as possible but out to the best transition point so that when you kick back to hit that clip point you are not going to blow a tire or anything you'll just climb the wall quickly, hold as long through the next banked wall as you can then slow down. Looks fun as hell. Unless you scared to clutch kick at mid to top of third then not as much fun but still cool.

posted some up on driftutah, its sort of annoying having these two forums i wish we could just keep driftutah and leave it at that everyone is already there. anyway

Alright here's a few (names come from what i thought they looked like)

This is assuming we are able to use the outside of the oval as pits and whatever, if not there are places to put the pits within the oval in most layouts.

Nothing really to explain with this, would be nice and simple and at the end before the finish you can have a little bit of a manji.

I really like this course, its really wide and some of the turns might be too wide for most cars, but to me its more of a course you can just manji like crazy. Many parts have straights it would be perfect for that. On the parts where it goes from the flat to the bank turns the drivers would of course have to go slow if i remember correctly how hard those transitions are but that shouldn't be a problem.

Pretty much go one way, around the clover of the grass, then back the way you came almost, nothing special but wouldn't be a bad layout i think.

I like this, could get some people to be brave and get close to the back straight's wall. Again it has a flat to bank turn transition, can be taken slowly after the person most likely manji's that section.

This is seriously annoying, I don't know who's gonna see what so I have to post the same damn thing on both forums. I'm done with this one. You want to see something i'm gonna say you can check Drift Utah.

The problem with the course's that you "Manji" I've always known it as choku dori, is that if it were a comp, you can't really judge 1 driver following another driver through a section like that. I think the high speed one would be a really awesome comp layout because it's high speed and smooth transitions but a simple quick course to get everyone through.

These are track ideas, DE staff are the ones that need to see these. If you would like others to see them and critique them, then feel free to post it on both forums. If you want the event directors to see them, then post them here.

still not sure why we have 2 forums now with exactly the same people that are on the other forums.
What exactly was wrong with Drift Utah?

its pretty easy to understand.
-Driftutah is owned by someone else, and has no affiliation with any organizations.
-Utahdrift is owned by Drift Enterprise and all things that have to do with DE will be discussed here. i will make sure we still have event schedules and whatnot on driftutah tho

i like nicks layouts, the hourglass one looks sick. theres a few others i like also but i cant see them while im writing this.

apexi: i dunno about everyone else, but i cant drift that bank if the starting line is that close to it, idk

why would the practice course do different than the comp course.

PS i like nick (gigglesnurts) layouts. those are the best i think.

that choki section in the last post looks kinda dumb in my book.
that track is NOT wide enough to shikain

PS i dont know how to spell either of those words haha

i also think that little choku section or whatever on the front straight is a little sketchy, the bank would make it a little weird you have to remember thats not a flat spot. Plus there will be quite a few wrecks and driving on the forbidden paint if it were there.

The fast course that I laid out we may want to move the starting line back and close to the wall so that you can still get in the pit area but are starting just behind it. That would give you enough speed to clear that turn. Your right though, the only people that would be able to get enough speed from where I put the starting point are the cars that are turbo'd and from what I've seen Josh and Michael are the only ones who could get enough speed and actually have enough skill to clear it. I have a stock single cam so I prob wouldn't be able to get enough speed. I'll redraw it and post it. Good lookin out.

Here's the revised version. Would be enough room for low hp cars to get to mid or top of third, that should give you enough momentum to clear the whole turn if you take the right line and full throttle it.

Let me know what you think. I really think this would be an excellent course for a end of year comp when everyones had time to improve and practice it a little more. Beginning of year this would definetly be too much for most people. It's just not that much bigger then a turn that I've cleared before and that turn was uphill and not as wide with not as much of a bank. The south bank has less camber then the north one though, that's why I think it would be better to attempt this, less camber but still some means it will hold you down the track a little but not so much that your just steering at the grass.

This is a general idea of what the possible course layout that Nopi will setup for the drift event that's coming in the summer

Just from what I've seen, these are usually how the american drift comps setup their courses on an oval track.

The area between the 2 white lines that are outlined in black is the section where the slower cars have a chance to catch up to the faster cars, it's in nopi's rulebook that the faster car can't just takeoff and ditch slower low hp cars.

Interesting rule. We really want to make the two test and tune sessions in April a bit more technical than the standard Drift event. We are aiming to accomplish this to sharpen the driver's skill level in preparation for the Drift season.

that figure 8 is on the outside of the course in a bad spot though, someone can easily lose it and go into that area and hit the other car.
